The Lexington Minute Men were proud to support the Disabled American Veterans Department of Massachusetts at their annual 5K run to honor veterans on Saturday, Nov. 8.
Just in front of Fort Independence, the oldest continuously fortified military site in British North America, the Lexington Minute Men fired volleys that kicked the race into action.
The Minute Men were also featured in WBZ’s live broadcast of the event, where Captain Commanding Steve Cole spoke with Jacob Wycoff.
As a unit that portrays our nation’s earliest veterans, our core mission is to honor the brave patriots who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation’s freedom. It was an honor to take part in an event that gathered thousands in the spirit of that same purpose.
The Lexington Minute Men dedicate every day to honoring and preserving the stories of our Veterans, and we are grateful for all who have served and continue to serve our nation. Happy Veterans Day!
