Lexington Minute Men Support Lexington High School in Special Thanksgiving Rivalry Game at Fenway Park

The Lexington Minute Men took part in a special Thanksgiving matchup on Wednesday night at Fenway Park as Lexington High School and Concord-Carlisle High School met for their annual rivalry football game.

The Minute Men marched onto the field during the pregame ceremony alongside the Concord Minute Men, who presented the colors. Steve Cole, Captain Commanding of the Lexington Minute Men, then presented the volley as the companies’ musket volley set the stage for the game.

Members of the Lexington Minute Men remained near the end zone throughout the game, standing ready to fire after each score.

The Thanksgiving meeting between the two schools is one of the longest-running high school football rivalries in Massachusetts.

While the football teams are rivals on the field, both Minute Men companies came together on Wednesday, including sharing a bus ride to Fenway.

“Participating in this game was an absolute honor for our company,” said Captain Commanding Steve Cole. “We appreciate every opportunity to support our town and high school, and our members were proud to stand on the field and share a piece of Lexington’s history at such a historic ball field.”
